She moved to Encinitas in 2011 to start a yoga based health and wellness program at Capri Elementary, here in Encinitas. That program eventually grew to many more schools, and along the way, Jen coached and trained dozens of instructors and classroom teachers on the benefits of yoga based movement and breathing activities. Jen continues to practice yoga daily and attributes the yoga practice to success in all areas of life.

Windermere Homes & Estates is reaching out to Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego to volunteer time and give much needed donations to help families with children who are being treated for serious, often life-threatening conditions. Windermere’s real estate agents, brokers, clients and staff have been donating essential items to help these families in all of their 13 offices throughout Southern California.
On June 3rd, Windermere will be wrapping up their fundraiser/donation drive and volunteering their time at the Ronald McDonald House. Our owners, agents and employees will volunteer their time to prep, serve and clean-up breakfast and lunch, as well as, volunteering their services for craft time and an ice cream social. Windermere volunteers also made blankets and collected items for Ronald McDonald House Charites of San Diego to give to guests during their stay.
Every year Windermere Homes & Estates closes their office to volunteer and help make a positive difference in our community. This is a part of Windermere’s company-wide Community Service Day event in which all 300 offices and 7,000 agents will spend the day giving back to local communities. Windermere offices from Seattle to SoCal will donate more than 55,000 hours of service during this year’s event. “Windermere’s Community Service Day started in 1984 with my dad, John Jacobi, a handful of agents, and a run-down chain-link fence at an elementary school that needed some TLC,” said company president, OB Jacobi. “Thirty-two years and more than 1.2 million hours of community service later, we’ve continued this tradition through neighborhood-enhancing projects in the areas where our Windermere teams live, work, and play.”
Every time a Windermere sales associate sells a home, they donate a portion of their commission to the Windermere Foundation, a non-profit organization established in 1989. Contributions from Windermere agents combined with contributions from Windermere employees and public supporters have allowed the Windermere Foundation to distribute over two million dollars annually in recent years to non-profit agencies dedicated to helping the local community.
Ronald McDonald House Charities of San Diego provides a “home away from home” for families with children being treated for serious, often life-threatening conditions at local hospitals. Thanks to an active volunteer program and generous community support, each year approximately:
• 1,400 families reside with us during their child’s hospitalization
• 11,000 additional people use our Family Care Center, coming for meals, computer access, and other essential resources
• 130,000 meals are served free of charge to family members with hospital identification
• 200 siblings of hospitalized children take part in education and enrichment programs, including the School Away from School and Learn & Play Center

Windermere Homes & Estates Recognized as Fastest Growing Real Estate Brokerage in California. Residential real estate brokerage continues to expand in Southern California communities of Coachella Valley, San Diego, Riverside, and San Bernardino
San Diego – May 11, 2016 – Windermere Homes & Estates (WHE) tops the First Tuesday Journal ranking of Fastest Growing Real Estate Brokerage in California. The recognition places the firm first in growth among 60 of the state’s largest brokerages, with an increase of 89 percent from December 2014 to December 2015.
“We are proud to achieve the status as the fastest growing real estate brokerage in California,” said Windermere Homes & Estates Co-owner Rich Johnson. “We owe our success to our agents, staff, and affiliates, as well as our clients that come back to Windermere time after time to buy or sell a home in Southern California.”
The First Tuesday Journal reports that, unlike WHE, most of the state’s major brokers saw only marginal changes in their employment of additional sales agents. In 2015, WHE experienced a surge in hiring, adding 149 agents to its team for a total of 317 at the end of 2015. Today, the brokerage has surpassed the 350 agent count mark, and continues to grow.
This accomplishment is particularly notable because of the recession set-backs felt in real estate. “Licensees who remain full-time real estate service providers today are the ones who have successfully adjusted with a bit of talent and perseverance,” the article states.
The recession hit the real estate-related industries hard, with employment numbers catching up to pre-recession numbers in California at the end of 2014, according to First Tuesday. Founded by Brian Gooding and Rich Johnson, Windermere Homes and Estates has opened nine offices in San Diego County in just two years. Within the past seven months the company expanded into the Riverside and San Bernardino Counties with new offices in Coachella Valley, Big Bear, and Temecula.
The company is the fourth largest residential real estate brokerage in San Diego. “Our agents are among the very best in California.
