Inland Offices Regional Manager
DRE Lic. #00966525
In 1963 I was born and raised in Buffalo, New York. After graduating from college with an undergraduate degree in biology/premed from Saint Bonaventure University, I decided on a snowy winter day to head out to Southern California and get a masters degree in physical therapy. Well, a combination of good fortune and poor planning caused that never to happen – but landed me in the real estate profession! I was an agent for 11 years – and then the management bug bit me. I am a 7 or 8 time nominee for the San Diego manager of the year from SDAR and a two time winner. The reason I am uncertain about the number is I came in second for many years in a row and have won the last two times I’ve been nominated. I have managed offices since 1997 in North county, East County and South County and along the coast. To say I have worked in real estate in San Diego and know the different areas is an understatement!
My true passion in the business is business planning and helping take the mystery out of what it takes for an agent to succeed. I am thrilled to share and help any agent who wants to go to the next level and discover what they need to do to be a success- on their terms.
I am most proud of the fact that I have been married for 21 years to my beautiful wife Julie and have two awesome sons who are both attending college in the fall. I have loved my 18 years of coaching sports and raising my kids but we are settling in with the idea that soon we will be empty-nesters. We have lived in Rancho Penasquitos for the past 20 years and are the proud adoptive parents of two great cats and a Rosarito Beach Street dog. Life is good – I couldn’t be happier to be at Windermere homes and estates!
I’m a Mike, not a Michael. Mardog, Mad Dog (high school and college), Marms.
I love “the possibility” – agents can work at a career with no ceilings and buyers can own a piece of the American Dream and we can make that happen!
I would love to have been at the signing of the Declaration of Independence. It is said “that they surely knew they were signing their death sentence”, and yet fought through with their courage, faith, fears and passion, all of which this country was founded on, so to witness how it really was it would be fascinating to see and experience.
I am always working on being a better me – and quite frankly I like who I’ve become. So since I plan on living to 110 (1/2 way there) I figure I can get at least twice as good at being a husband, father, sibling, friend, business man and coach. I believe the point of living is to bring out your authentic self – I just keep peeling the onion!
“Mike is the Inland Offices Regional Manager, helping the agents in the Inland Offices as the day to day branch manager. What Mike really loves is training, coaching and working with agents on business development. “
