Windermere Homes & Estates Is A Brokerage Catching Fire
Windermere Homes & Estates (WHE) in Southern California is a brokerage catching fire. In the past month they have named a new Broker of Record, added over 40 new agents, were nominated as “Most Innovative” by Inman News, seen agent production soar and broken ground on a new office. WHE is currently the fourth largest residential real estate brokerage in San Diego based on sales volume. The company currently has a rolling 12-month sales volume of $990 million and this year, they expect to hit $1 billion. In two short years, they have grown the company to 8 offices and over 300 agents with future expansion on the horizon. This record growth has earned them the title of “Fastest Growing Windermere Franchise”. Best of all our agents are having huge success stories. Company-wide over 20 agents have increase production by $2.5 million or greater this last year! It is growth based on agent-centered values. “When Brian and I opened our first Windermere office two years ago, we agreed that our main focus would be keeping the culture agent-centered and family-oriented by putting relationships before sales quotas,” said Johnson. “We also wanted to create an environment that fueled success and innovation.”
TOP TALENT
It is that carefully cultivated environment that continues to attract top talent from around the Southern California region to join WHE. Each month the agent roster grows in each of the 7 established offices. In June, 2015 Jim Berns, two-time SDAR Broker of the Year, joined WHE as the Broker of Record and merged his number one by sales volume Scripps Ranch brokerage with Windermere Homes and Estates. “I am excited to join Rich, Brian and the entire WHE family,” says Berns. “I believe that this merger is best for my agents and most importantly, our two companies share the same values and beliefs.” All 30 agents from the Scripps Ranch office were excited to join WHE and become the 8th office. Berns will be an integral part of the company maintaining compliance and high standards of excellence as the company continues to grow at this rapid pace.
AGENT SUCCESS
A brokerage is dependent on the success of their agents, and WHE owners have stayed true to their vision to create an environment that fuels that success. This is evident in the increase in agent production in 2014. Company-wide, over 20 agents have increased production by $2.5 million or greater this last year.
INNOVATORS
Growth and excellence are shared values not just in the Southern California Franchise but throughout the company and are a core reason for the recent Inman News nomination for “Most Innovative Real Estate Company” earlier this month. The Seattle based company is being recognized for their focus on agent support. “Windermere’s focus on technology took a 180-degree shift two years ago. The Seattle-based firm stopped trying to win the real estate search race. Instead, the company invested in back-end technology to support agent initiatives it openly shares with others.” said Inman News.
STAR STATUS
The agents of Windermere serve a wide variety of clients from first time home buyers to celebrity A-listers. Most recently Windermere agent Janine Stevens represented Phil Knight, co-founder of Nike Inc. The billionaire announced in June he will be stepping down as chairman of the company sometime next year. The recently purchased home is at the Madison Club in La Quinta and sold for $4.25 million.
NEW FRONTIERS
There are no signs of slowing down anytime soon for this brokerage on fire. They have recently broken ground on a third office in Rancho Bernardo and have plans to expand to a second location in Carlsbad. “We love the excitement and energy that growth brings to our company” said Gooding.
