Windermere Homes & Estate’s Nancy Canfield Receives Community Hero Award

Every year Windermere Homes & Estates holds an awards ceremony for agents and staff. Top Producers are celebrated of course but recently Windermere has chosen to also honor agents who go the extra mile for their local communities. Service is key to the type of culture we foster here, an important piece of who we are as a company. We call this distinction the Community Hero Award. For the year 2020 this award was given to Nancy Canfield in our Rancho Bernardo location.

Nancy works closely with the Rancho Bernardo Historical Society and has been inducted in the Rancho Bernardo Hall of Fame for her leadership in that organization. When the Board asked for her help she jumped in with both feet and helped raise funds for a permanent museum. They reached their goal, then beat it ending with three times their original target amount. She has since served as President (9 years) and as Development Chair.

Nancy is also a strong supporter of local businesses. A member of the Rancho Bernardo Business Association, she knows the importance of the relationship between businesses and the people they serve. Building a better community through service and advocacy is one of the group goals, and this is a driving force for Nancy as well. She has been Honorary Mayor twice (2005 & 2006) through the then Rancho Bernardo Chamber of Commerce.

And not the least is her care for the people she represents. Nancy is the recipient of the 5 Star Real Estate Agent award for twelve years running. Candidates are identified by client evaluations, and it’s clear that her clients feel Nancy’s care of them is exemplary.
