Born and raised in rural Indiana, Steven enjoyed lakeside living, bicycling, tennis and playing trombone in his school band.  But Steve went from small-town boy to globe-trotter when he enlisted in the United States Army.  Stationed all over the world for 12 years, he proudly served his country as an intelligence analyst.  Discharged in 1999, Steve opted for the sunny West Coast, where he worked as a civilian contractor for the Navy Marine Corps’ Network Operations Center at North Island Naval Air Station.  In 2002 Steve also joined Advanced Aquatics, Inc., which he co-owns and manages still today.

Steve eventually settled in Escondido because of its “pockets” of rural atmosphere.  He met Faye Hines and it didn’t take long before the two forged a close bond.  Faye inspired Steve to obtain his real estate license, and when the accomplished this in 2014 he joined The Hines Team!  He has since become a Certified Relocation Specialist and First Time Buyer Specialist.  Steve has a passion for working with active duty military personnel and veterans.  He describes himself as “honest, communicative and organized,” and derives great joy form helping people achieve their goal of home ownership.

In his spare time Steve enjoys the beach, sight-seeing and visiting historic landmarks.  Steve’s greatest source of pride is his three grown children; a son who served with the US Air Force in Afghanistan, another son who twice deployed to Iraq while serving in the US Marine Corps, and a daughter who is currently studying to ear her Master’s Degree in psychology.
