Windermere Homes & Estates Welcomes Dorothy “Dottie” Marie Christensen

Dottie Christensen, realtor with Windermere Homes & EstatesBetter known as Dottie, this San Diego native grew up in East County and moved all over town before settling down in Valley Center. In her earlier years, Dottie enjoyed riding bareback on her horse, Mike. With a fondness for animals, Dottie aspired to work in veterinary medicine, which lead her to a short period working with animals.

Dottie eventually considered changing careers and moved into the Real Estate world in 1979 when she attained her license. As Dottie progressed in her newfound career, she “created” a Monopoly Game for Realtors based on her unique experiences while practicing this awesome “job”.  For instance, she once had a house burn to the ground while in escrow! Do not pass go, do not collect commission!

While Dottie has had some unique experiences, she wouldn’t change a thing about her beloved career as a Realtor. Her experience, honesty and ethics allow her to continuously create valued connections with each client she meets.

Working out of Windermere’s Escondido office, Dottie works from “De Luz to Dulzura, and Ranchita to Nestor”.  In other words – anywhere in San Diego County and beyond!

Dottie says, “I identify with, and love to assist, buyers and sellers in the more rural areas. Most of them consider me a part of their families.”

“Dottie is one of those agents who truly has sold all over the county. She prides herself on finding the perfect spot for her clients, whether it’s a horse property or a condo on the beach.  She listens. It’s one of the many reasons her clients keep coming back, and we’re happy that she has chosen to work with us in our Escondido office,” says Rich Johnson, co-owner of Windermere Homes & Estates.
