Windermere Homes & Estates Welcomes Susan Murphy!

Susan Murphy, realtor with Windermere Homes & EstatesRaised in Huntingdon Valley Pennsylvania, Susan Murphy is the youngest of seven kids. With plenty of siblings around to join in on the fun, the group was rarely bored. If not in school or other activities, the group of four brothers and two sisters would mostly play outside enjoying and exploring all four seasons.

Growing up in a family of self-employed business owners, Susan aspired to work in a similar fashion. As she ventured down her own path to self-discovery, Susan found herself working as the very first female DJ on the East Coast mixing vinyl. Thereafter starting her own successful mobile DJ business.

After getting married on the East Coast, Susan’s husband was transferred to Southern California in 1989 for work. California became “home” to Susan and she settled down in Newbury Park and raised her family. Susan has two children; Samantha and Dustin.

Through the years, as Susan’s children grew up, she decided to follow a path of her own. Susan found her new passion and chose to pursue a career in Real Estate. The real estate crash of 2007, where many families lost their homes, drew Susan to real estate. While many struggled to stay in their properties during that time, Susan was determined to fight the banks – and won! This experience inspired her to use the knowledge she had acquired during that process to study to get her Real Estate license. “I wanted to pursue a career in which I could help families and assist them in making important life and financial choices while also satisfying my entrepreneurial spirit. I got my license in 2015.”

Susan moved from Thousand Oaks to Oceanside in 2016. Besides the beautiful climate, she chose to move to be closer to her daughter who lives in San Clemente. The location also reminds her of some beaches on the East Coast that she used to go to when she was a kid. Once settled in, Susan began her Real Estate Career at Century 21 Mission in Oceanside.

From her honesty to her hard work, Susan gained the reputation as a trustworthy agent. As she dove further into her career, she decided to join Windermere Homes & Estates, primarily because of the training and agent tools. As an agent and business owner, Susan understood the importance of having proper leadership, organization and mentorship. “I believe that the tools provided at Windermere will help me achieve my professional and financial goals.”

Working out of the Carlsbad Village office, Susan represents both buyers and sellers of residential real estate. Utilizing all of the latest technology Windermere has to offer, Susan looks forward to a very long and prosperous career with the rapidly growing firm.

“Susan learned so much in the crash of 2007, and she feels the need to share that knowledge. Going toe to toe with the banks is no small feat, and it just reinforces her will to get to the heart of a problem.  A talent for sure, and we are so happy that she’s chosen to work with us in our Carlsbad Valley office,” says Brian Gooding, co-owner of Windermere Homes & Estates.
